Job Scope – Equipment Rental Sales Representative (Mobile Power, Power Distribution & HVAC)

The Equipment Rental Sales Representative will be responsible for driving revenue growth by developing and managing customer accounts in the mobile power generation, temporary cooling/heating, and power distribution rental markets. This position requires a results-oriented professional with industry knowledge and strong relationship-building skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Prospect, develop, and secure new business with contractors, restoration companies, facility managers, and industrial clients requiring temporary power and climate control solutions.

• Manage existing accounts to maximize equipment utilization, rental frequency, and long-term customer retention.

• Promote and rent mobile diesel generators (20kW–1MW), temporary air conditioning and heating units (5 ton–50 ton, with focus on 25 ton+), and power distribution equipment (cables, panels, transformers).

• Conduct site visits to evaluate project requirements, recommend equipment solutions, and provide technical support during planning and mobilization.

• Collaborate with operations and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery, setup, and service of rental equipment.

• Prepare and deliver professional proposals, quotes, and presentations tailored to customer needs.

• Monitor market conditions, competitor activities, and industry trends to identify opportunities for business growth.

• Maintain accurate records of sales activity, pipeline, and forecasting through CRM systems.

• Ensure compliance with company policies, pricing guidelines, and rental contract terms.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in equipment rental, construction, industrial services, or related field (preferred in power generation or climate control).

• Strong technical knowledge of generators, HVAC systems, and electrical distribution equipment.

Compensation & Benefits

• Base salary ($55,000–$65,000 depending on experience)

• Commission structure tied to gross margin, with uncapped earning potential (OTE $90,000–$120,000+)
