$12 hr - after 90 days pay increase to $15.00 hr plus commission

This position is primarily responsible for expanding the sales department s customer and prospect database by obtaining, adding, and qualifying new leads. This position is also responsible for maintaining the database updated and accurate. This position will be providing an exemplary level of customer service to every customer and prospect, and will be presenting Company products and services via phone and email by performing the following duties.

Core duties and responsibilities include the following as assigned. Other duties may be assigned.

Database Contact Duties:
Makes professional outbound phone calls to assigned prospects and new, and professionally responds to inbound phone calls from assigned prospects and new leads, with the purpose of presenting Company products and services, and qualifying need and interest levels.
Contacts assigned prospects, and new leads via professional emails, in instances where a person could not be reached by phone, or in addition to a phone conversation, with the purpose of presenting Company products and services, and qualifying need and interest levels. Responds to emails received from prospects, and new leads in a timely and professional manner. Promotes Company, web site, product line, services, current specials, promotions, samples, and advertisements. Documents communications and updates accounts in the database based on relevant information received, and in a professional manner.
Schedules assigned prospects and new leads for next contact/recall within a time frame, appropriate for the account s current stage in the selling cycle or a pending matter. Maintains an updated database by adding new contact information and properly marking duplications and outdated information on the assigned accounts. Obtains new leads via referrals. Qualifies prospects and new leads via phone and email contact. Enters, updates and/or marks these accounts appropriately in the database.
Identifies, documents, forwards and/or addresses prospect inquiries, questions, concerns, and complaints timely and diligently, and assists in processing as instructed.
Communicates the Company s sampling program to interested and qualified leads/prospects and
identifies valid sampling opportunities within the assigned accounts. Seeks assigned manager s input for challenging sampling opportunities.
Creates invoices for shipment of qualified samples in a timely manner.
Follows up with clients/prospects to confirm receipt of sample shipments and testing timeline.
Places appropriate lot reserves on corresponding client/prospect account in a timely manner.
Uncovers all sales opportunities within the assigned accounts and brings all sales opportunities to the assigned manager s attention.
Non-Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Assists with any other departmental customer service, sales, and database expansion efforts.
Answers incoming phone calls for other departments and directs them to the appropriate party.
Takes and processes orders by phone, email, fax or mail.
Reviews orders for correctness based on product availability, pricing schedules and/or specific customer quote.
Invoices for received orders accurately and in a timely manner.
Communicates with clients regarding items needing clarification and shipping schedule.
Follows up with clients on invoiced and shipped orders.
Provides territory sales coverage for absent co-worker as instructed
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of: Database Software;
Internet Software; Spreadsheet Software (Excel); Order Processing Systems; Word Processing
Software (Word); and Electronic Mail Software (Outlook).
Ability to operate all office equipment necessary to perform the duties.
Ability to develop and deliver effective presentations on the phone.
