Position Description
Job Title: Administrative/Installation & Service Support Technician Department: Residential/Commercial (location: Suwanee)
Reports To: Operations Manager
Summary of Position: Provide administrative and technical support to the residential and commercial installation/service departments by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following.
Support customers and technicians throughout the day through telephone technical support.
Create work orders for each Residential/Commercial customer, scheduling when needed.
Close out work orders for the Residential/Commercial business. Assuring the dollar amount and work performed is documented properly. Send to the billing department.
Perform call backs from previous night/weekend after hour' s service calls. Scheduling when needed and/or documenting customers account.
Assist Installation/Service Manager in various duties, keeping him/her informed of technician, sales or paperwork issues.
Assist in scheduling Residential/Commercial business. (Retrofit, trim outs, takeovers, conversions)
Check in previous day work, checking for proper information as requested by manager.
Perform uploads of systems and various other duties when needed.
Assist in ordering when you know there is a product needed for a scheduled work order. Email request to be sent to warehouse manager.
Support us with the latest technology. Addressing any pros or cons associated with the proposed technology.
Assist in the development of field personnel. Advising the field supervisor of any concerns with ability or product knowledge with the technician(s)
Requirements (skills):
Minimum of 2 years experience in the alarm industry.
Ability to identify and solve all Residential systems and most Commercial.
Ability to customers through trouble-shooting there system to determine exact concern.
Fluent with computers and most software programs.
Customer service focused. Using proper attitude and addressing the customer in a professional and respect manner.
Multi-task oriented. Ability to perform multiple functions without losing place or getting frustrated.
Creative and precise problem solver.
Knowledge of the residential construction industry.
Ability to route technician geographically for optimum productivity and less down time.
Compensation:
Expected hourly pay will be based upon individuals skill set and previous work history.
There will not be a company vehicle provided, however if there comes a need for position to run emergency service call we will have a vehicle available.
