Job Description

Education, Experience, and Licensing/Certifications:
Degree in Risk Management, Law, Business Administration, or related field.
Minimum of 5 years of relevant contracts experience, including experience in the construction industry.
An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
Valid State-issued driver s license and satisfactory driving record and vehicle insurance which meets Company Construction liability coverage requirements.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
Ability to exercise initiative and to work well with discretion and sound independent judgment with minimal supervision, as well as in a team environment.
Strong knowledge of legal terms and methodologies, contract provisions, and risk analysis.

Knowledge and understanding of construction legal terms, the internal operations of a construction design-build general contractor, the construction industry, and the local construction market.
Ability to analyze and mitigate risk, maximize profitability, and successfully balance the needs and expectations of the client while maintaining Company Construction s standards and reputation.
Strong negotiation skills and the ability to articulate complex information.
Excellent critical thinking skills, reading comprehensive skills and attention to detail.
Ability to define problems, research and collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and make timely decisions.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret laws, regulations and codes.
Creative problem-solver; ability to view a situation from multiple angles, collaboratively brainstorm on solutions, and identify the best course to move forward.
High level of maturity and judgment; ability to be discreet and maintain confidentiality of information.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The Contract Analyst will be primarily involved with performing the following duties and responsibilities.
Use discretion and independent judgment and professional skills to perform daily duties and to resolve issues.
Participate in establishing department goals, objectives, and plans and assist in implementation and communication to staff.
Make recommendations for ways to improve business operations, particularly those related to contracts and risk management (including processes, procedures and best operating practices), looking for ways to improve efficiency and profitability, reduce risk and to increase client satisfaction.
Assist in evaluating, developing, and implementing, and ensuring compliance with risk management contract policies (e.G., Levels of Authority ), procedures, forms, checklists, and other documents
In consultation with the Executive Vice President, thoroughly analyze and provide comments on contracts, to include subcontracts, owner contracts, purchase orders, architect
