We are searching for a detail-oriented, analytical Staff Accountant to join our growing team. Reporting directly to our Corporate Accounting Manager, in this role, you will assist with preparing balance sheets, profit and loss statements, account reconciliations, audit, and other financial duties. Perform AR responsibilities that include but not limited to multi-location cash application, internal customer support, and customer master.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Customer payment processing, reconcile daily cash receipts, and discrepancy resolution
Prepare monthly balance sheets, income statements, and profit and loss statements.
Month end close tasks and balance sheet reconciliation
General ledger maintenance and research
Reconcile bank accounts, verifies deposits, and addresses inquiries from banks.
Provide outside auditors with assistance; gathers necessary account information and documents to perform annual audit.
Coordinate with software vendor to maintain accounting software systems; recommends updates to enhance the accounting software.
Perform general accounting and other related duties for the organization.
Willingness to Initiate process improvement for better controls
Maintain knowledge of acceptable accounting practices and procedures.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Has developed specialized skills or is multi-skilled through job-related training and considerable on-the-job experience.
Completes work with a limited degree of supervision.
Identifies key issues and patterns from partial/conflicting data.
Takes a broad perspective to problems and spots new, less obvious solutions.
No formal supervisory responsibilities in this position. May provide informal assistance such as technical guidance and/or training to coworkers. May coordinate work of less experienced employees.
Education and Experience
Bachelor s degree in accounting, or related field, required.
2+ years of experience required.
Proficient in MS Excel with experience in financial ERP systems (Oracle, Hyperion, Business
Intelligence)
Prior experience in consolidation, multi-currency reporting, fixed assets, sales/used tax, and
