Job Description

The Key Account Specialist provides administrative and account sales support to the Key Account Managers and customers. Assists in the implementation of the strategic and tactical business development initiatives developed to drive an increase in sales volume across all Channels. Position provides internal support across all departmental areas to facilitate the acquisition of information for the Key Account Managers while outside the headquarters building and when traveling. The Key Account Specialist will also contribute by building and maintaining good customer relationships and ensuring smooth sales team operations with all assigned accounts.

Education and Experience:
Bachelor s degree in Marketing, Business Administration or related field or equivalent experience
3-5 years experience within consumer products sales department providing sales support is a plus
Sales experience (retail, telesales or outside) within Office Products, Craft, Fine Art or Mass Market channel
An understanding of sales process and customer services practices
Business Systems Knowledge:
Extremely high proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Strong working knowledge of ERP systems

Responsibilities: Works with Account Managers to provide sales support for key assigned accounts required to advance business and support customer needs.
Assist with the preparation of key account presentations, quarterly & annual reviews and the development of sales presentations.
Coordinates with internal Company departments to obtain requested information for new products, vendor forms, item set-up forms or general customer inquiries for assigned accounts.
Produce all customer, product and channel sales analysis reports for National Sales Manager as requested.
Attend all meetings for assigned accounts, with Account Manager, and coordinate follow up to those meetings.
Develop and maintain relationships within assigned key accounts to ensure account viability regardless of personnel changes within the account
Work directly with sales reps for each account, providing support for customer needs.
Participate in sales meetings, key account review meetings and sales & marketing management meetings, trade shows and company meetings as required.
Manage and maintain customer item database/ portals and complete other miscellaneous data entry for all assigned accounts. Complete all new item setup forms as required for each account.
Monitor customer orders from receipt to shipment to assure accuracy and timeliness.
Promote the company, its objectives, programs and achievements to the public and customers at all times.
Provide troubleshooting assistance for customer orders, account statuses and relevant problems.
Assist as needed in item set-up forms, vendor forms and accessing vendor portals for current updates and information from current and prospective customers.
Travel within N America has been suspended no ETA, shows and meetings are done via zoom. (when travel resumes it will be 1-2 trade shows a year)
Perform other duties as assigned, as well as duties that are unique and/or specific to assigned department.
