Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team. This position is entry-level and will provide support to the Accounting/Finance Department by performing a variety of tasks which will include closing activities, journal entries, data analysis, and special projects.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required.

- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail

- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

- High level of proficiency in MS Office, particularly MS Excel.

-Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

-Strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Assist the accounting team with month-end and year-end close processes.

Prepare journals entries with associated support.

Prepare account reconciliations for general ledger accounts.

Assist with the preparation and filing of business licenses and personal property tax returns.

Reconcile bank reconciliations.

Perform basic accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.

Assist with maintaining fixed asset records in accordance with company requirements.

Support both internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.

Ensure compliance with all internal processes and applicable regulations.

Provide ad hoc support to the accounting team as needed.

Sedentary work - Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met.
